A walking series of portraits and storefronts across the lower Darjeeling streets. Wide-open lenses, slow pace, no rush to leave.

The locals were generous — the shopkeeper on Mall Road who poured me three cups of tea before letting me leave; the schoolboy who insisted I take a portrait of his uniform; the monk who waited patiently while I missed the shot, then waited again.
